A group of people are gathered on what appears to be the deck of a naval vessel, engaged in physical activity or a celebratory event. The central figure, a man wearing a white t-shirt with 'LAMBAMBA KOG' printed on it and a red headband, appears to be dancing or exercising. The surrounding group, dressed in a mix of white and black t-shirts, are smiling and participating in the activity.

    USS Makin Island (LHD 8)

Sailors from USS Makin Island (LHD 8) and Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit participate in a "crossing the line" ceremony. It is a traditional rite-of-passage ceremony carried out to appease King Neptune, the mythological god of the seas. Makin Island, the flagship of the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, is on a deployment with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit to promote peace and freedom of the seas by providing security and stability in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
