Sean Godfrey, assigned to the 26th Weapons Company, based at Camp Lejeune, N.C., gives Joan Jett, lead singer of Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, an overview of the MK-19 40mm machine gun during a tour of the amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima. Iwo Jima is en route to Fleet Week New York City 2009. This week-long event provides an opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as see first-hand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
