A Sailor looks on as a landing craft air cushion leaves the well deck of the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan as Marines from the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit embark. Bataan left her homeport of Norfolk, May 13, for a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. Fifth and Sixth fleet areas of operation. Bataan is the flagship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group/22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, which includes more than 4,000 Sailors and embarked Marines.
