Members of the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit offload from a landing craft unit onto the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan. Bataan left Norfolk, Va., for a regularly scheduled deployment to the U.S. Fifth and Sixth fleet areas of operation, May 13. Bataan is the flagship of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group/22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, which includes more than 4,000 Sailors and embarked Marines.
