A Royal Malaysian Navy Super Lynx helicopter lands on the flight deck of the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1) in the South China Sea during landing qualifications June 18, 2013, as part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2013. The Super Lynx was the first foreign helicopter to land on the Freedom. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
