Lt. Col. Tiffany Sneed, Georgia National Guard operations liaison, coordinates with Georgia State Defense Force operations and support chief warrant officer, Tom Plouff. The two uniformed services assets are participating in the two-day GEMA preparedness exercise at the agency’s headquarters in Atlanta. The multi-phase coordination effort incorporates revisions to the Governor’s existing snow and ice plan and involves 16 state agencies, numerous utility and private sector firms and nearly 700 individual service assets. “Georgia’s National Guard is one of our go-to assets for our agency,” said GEMA director, Charlie English.
