Three U.S. Army soldiers in ACU (Army Combat Uniform) pattern camouflage are assembling or positioning a mortar system in an open field during what appears to be a training exercise. The soldiers are working together as a crew to set up the mortar tube onto its baseplate. The setting is a grassy clearing bordered by pine trees, consistent with a military training range in the southeastern United States.
