More than 75 447th Expeditionary Security Forces members and fellow Airmen attended the ceremony, during which Sather Airmen renamed the base fitness center after Staff Sgt. Travis Griffin, who lost his life April 3, 2008, while on patrol in Baghdad. Painter is the 447th Expeditionary Security Forces commander. Burke was Griffin's friend and attended the ceremony from Balad Air Base, Iraq, where he is deployed as a 532nd ESFS member.
