Staff Sgt. Ryan Burke, a 532nd Expeditionary Security Forces member, Balad Air Base, Iraq, addresses more than 75 447th ESFS members and fellow Airmen, April 3, during a dedication ceremony honoring Staff Sergeant Travis Griffin, a fallen security forces member who lost his life April 3, 2008, while on patrol in Baghdad. During the ceremony, Sather Airmen renamed the base fitness center after Griffin. Burke traveled to Sather from Balad to help memorialize his old friend. Both Airmen were stationed together at Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., from where Burke is currently deployed.
