A warping tug maneuvers modules of the improved navy lighterage system (INLS) into position during construction of the roll-on/roll-off discharge facility (RRDF) in preparation of the offloading of a maritime prepositioning ship, loaded with U.S. Marine Corps, NMCB, and Fleet Hospital equipment and operate within a short sailing time of potential contingency sites. Pacific Horizon 2015, an exercise held off the coast of Camp Pendleton, Calif., in which the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force and Naval Beach Group One practiced loading and offloading cargo. NCHB 1 is the Navy’s only active duty rapid deployable cargo handling unit a part of Navy Expeditionary Logistics Support Group.
