Service members, their families and pets engage with personnel at booths during the Purple Paws for a Cause event hosted by the Marine Corps Community Services of Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., and the Family Advocacy Program at Meyers Park Youth Sports Complex on station, Friday. “October is Domestic Violence Awareness month, and we wanted to show the correlation between Domestic Violence and animal abuse,” said April Munoz, a Victim Advocate with the Family Advocacy Program at MCAS Yuma.
