Members of the military community and their guests gathered to celebrate the Navy’s 239th birthday at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort. Covers of all military branches sit unaccompanied on what is traditionally referred to as the lone Sailor table which symbolically honors missing service members. The missing members are considered prisoners of war or missing in action.
