Teams of high school students participate in the final round of the U.S. Navy SeaPerch Competition’s underwater obstacle course held during Hispanic Engineering, Science and Technology (HESTEC) Week 2014 on the campus of the University of Texas-Pan American, Oct. 10. Twenty-eight high school teams from throughout the Rio Grande Valley participated in the competition. HESTEC Week is an educational conference that features events geared toward promoting science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education to people of all ages and backgrounds.
