Staff Sgt. Alex R. Jimenez, 25, a native of New York, was one of seven Soldiers from 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division killed as a result of an ambush near Yuisfiyah, Iraq, May 12, 2007. Initially reported missing, Jimenez's remains were recovered July 9, 2008 approximately 20 miles south of the site of the ambush.
