Two photos of warnng signs on Marine convoys are evidence of the improving security situation in Iraq. The top photo, taken in December 2005, shows a Marine from the 1st Bn., 2nd Marine Regiment attaching a warning sign to a vehicle telling Iraqi drivers to steer clear of the Marine convoy altogether. The bottom photo, taken in March 2009, is a visible reminder that coalition forces are now sharing, if not surrendering, Iraqi roadways to the local populace.
