Retired U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Bennie G. Adkins, a Medal of Honor recipient, kisses his wife during a ceremony at the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., Sept. 16, 2014. Adkins was awarded the Medal of Honor Sept. 15, 2014, for actions during a battle at Camp A Shau, South Vietnam, March 9-12, 1966.
