Rear Adm. Anthony E. Gaiani, commander, Navy Region Midwest, talks with retired Navy Capt. Ralph Laedtke, prior to the City of Chicago's Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony, Monday, Dec. 7. Gaiani was the keynote speaker for the event which was attended by nearly 300 people, including seven Pearl Harbor survivors at Chicago's Navy Pier.
