Capt. Michael Klaus, with 1848th Medical Detachment's preventative medicine section, removes the collecting unit from a Center for Disease Control miniature light trap. The trap catches mosquitoes, sand flies and other flying insects. The captured insects will be identified, sorted and sent off for analysis to see if they carry any diseases.
