During Humvee Egress Assistance Trainer, or HEAT training, Soldiers experience what it's like to rollover in a Humvee while in a controlled environment. Green foam objects – simulating water bottles, weapons, ammunition cans, etc., bounce all over the vehicle and themselves. However, unlike the real items, these won't hurt the Soldiers. It helps drive home the fact that Soldiers need to strap down as much of their gear as possible whenever they ride in vehicles, said Sgt. 1st Class Christina Sepulveda, a member of the Colorado Army National Guard's Pre-Mobilization Training Assistance Element, during training, Feb. 20, at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colo.
