An M777A2 lightweight 155 mm howitzer sits silent after a day of live-fire training Aug. 26 during Artillery Relocation Training Program 14-2 at Yausubetsu Maneuver Area in Hokkaido. To lessen the impact on the local community, Marines agreed to specific times allotted for live-fire training. The Marines taking part in ARTP 14-2 are with Battery K, 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
