Freeman, right, from Placerville, California, fires an M777A2 lightweight 155 mm howitzer artillery piece Aug. 24 during Artillery Relocation Training Program 14-2 at Yausubetsu Maneuver Area in Hokkaido. ARTP 14-2 enhances the combat readiness of Marines while fulfilling obligations under the U.S.-Japan Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security.
