An MV-22 Osprey, from Marine Operational Test and Evaluation Squadron 22, departs the flight deck of the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) carrying Marines, Sailors and equipment from Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South for a theater security cooperation event in Peru, Aug. 30, 2014. During the TSC, the Marines and Sailors with will participate in medical, explosive ordnance disposal and combat marksmanship bi-lateral exchanges with the Peruvian Marine Corps. Through partner-nation activities, key leader engagements and security cooperation activities, the Marines and Sailors of SPMAGTF South will demonstrate the flexibility, utility and unparalleled expeditionary capability the Navy-Marine Corps team provides our nation and partners.
