Sean Kavanaugh, a midshipman with the Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps at University of South Carolina, learns to operate a MK19 Grenade Launcher aboard a Humvee during live fire training for Career Orientation and Training for Midshipmen, otherwise known as CORTRAMID, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, August 7. Kavanaugh, a mechanical engineering major and native of Washington D.C., was one of more than 100 midshipmen from universities throughout the country who traveled to the area to experience a taste of life in the Marine Corps.
