Peter Leon, a machine gunner with Weapons Company 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, watches as Beryl Fisher, a midshipman with the Naval Reserve Officers' Training Corps at Boston University, operates a MK19 Grenade Launcher during live fire training for Career Orientation and Training for Midshipmen, otherwise known as CORTRAMID, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, August 7. Leon, a native of Fishkill, New York, assisted Fisher, a biology major and native of South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and dozens of other midshipmen with operating the weapon, which is capable of destroying light armored vehicles.
