Trophies for the 35th annual Okinawa Island-Wide Sumo Tournament are staged as competitors from Kin Town and Marines with Camp Hansen wrestle July 26 at the Kin Town Athletic Field. Okinawa-style sumo is different from traditional sumo because the main objective is to pin your opponent on his back, and wrestlers start in the middle of the ring with hands on their opponent’s belt.
