1st Sgt. Richard E. Mauro watches competitors wrestle in the 35th annual Okinawa Island-Wide Sumo Tournament July 26 at the Kin Town Athletic Field. Mauro, along with six other Marines and a civilian contractor from Camp Hansen participated in the tournament at varying weight classes. Mauro is an Orlando, Florida, native and battery first sergeant with 3rd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
