Aviation Ordnanceman 2nd Class Joseph Reiner of Detroit, Mich., ties down a target to a small boat, aboard USNS Rappahannock (T-AO 24) in preparation for a live fire exercise known as a "GUN EX" during Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Singapore 2014. In its 20th year, CARAT is an annual, bilateral exercise series with the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps and the armed forces of nine partner nations to include Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
