The 81st Regional Support Command hosted the memorialization ceremony for the Major Michael L. Mundell U.S. Army Reserve Center located at Fort Campbell, Ky., Aug. 3. Mundell was killed on Jan. 5, 2007 in Fallujah, Iraq. Here, Bill and Phil Harpel, officials with Montgomery County and Clarksville, Tenn., present a joint proclamation announcing Aug. 3 as Maj. Michael L. Mundell Day. The new reserve center, while located at Fort Campbell, is actually located on the Tennessee side of the post and houses the 1108th, 1109th and 1110th Mobilization Support Battalions.
