U.S. Marine Sgt. Ryan J. Scsavnicki, a St. Petersburg, Florida, native, helps a Republic of Korea Marine teammate up during a game of football July 19 at 1st ROK Marine Division Base, Pohang, South Korea. U.S. and ROK Marines donned each other’s shirts in a display of camaraderie before beginning their bilateral training during Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-12. KMEP is a series of regularly scheduled bilateral exercises that takes place on the Korean Peninsula to enhance interoperability. Scsavnicki is a combat engineer with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
