Airmen from the 718th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron perform recovery on a KC-135 Stratotanker in support of the Rim of the Pacific 2014 exercise July 22, 2014, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The 718th AMXS is one of six maintenance squadrons belonging to the 18th Maintenance Group. The 18th Maintenance Group maintains combat-ready aircraft to support air operation taskings directed by Commander Pacific Command through Pacific Air Forces and Fifth Air Force. The world's largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity that helps participants foster and sustain cooperative relationships that are critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the world's oceans.
