British Royal Navy Cmdr. Mark Fitzsimmons, director of staff for Africa Partnership Station Nashville stands by with other multinational APS partners as Vice Adm. Bruce W. Clingan, commander, U.S. 6th Fleet addresses the crew of USS Nashville during the ship's visit to Rota, Spain. Nashville is deployed as a part of APS, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa, which aims to work cooperatively with U.S. and international partners to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
