Spc. Joseph Casaday, a member of Company D, 334th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, from Sioux City, Iowa, tries to stay warm as he helps direct traffic and assists in crowd control during the 56th presidential inauguration. Casady was in Washington, D.C. as part of a 1,000 member task force of Soldiers and Airmen from the Iowa National Guard sent to assist local and federal law enforcement agencies with security during the historic inauguration of the nation's 44th president. This was the first time in its 170 year history that the Iowa National Guard has participated in a presidential inauguration.
