A Day in the Life of an 'Iron Eagle' transportation Non-Commissioned Officer

Sgt. Craig Priest, transportation non-commissioned officer, Company A, 404th Aviation Support Battalion, Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, from Georgetown, S.C., directs his Soldier and M1088 Tractor Truck driver, Pfc. Brandon Geiger, during a cargo transportation mission at Camp Taji, Jan. 12. The mission was the platoon's 500th transport operation for the "Iron Eagle" brigade since deploying to Iraq last June. As the CAB's only pure transportation asset, the platoon is responsible for any and all ground transport required by the brigade. Their operations can be as simple as moving a few tires from one point to another and can be as complicated as moving hundreds of 4,000 pound blast barriers to different locations around the brigade area on Camp Taji. Geiger hails from Woodland, Mich.
