Washington Gov. Christine Gregiore eats dinner and chats with Soldiers from Washington state. Many of the Soldiers are from B Troop, 1-303rd, 81st Brigade Combat Team, Washington Army National Guard. The purpose of her visit was to meet with Soldiers from Washington currently deployed to Iraq. Currently there are about 2,500 Washington National Guard Soldiers deployed to Iraq and around 900 reservists. Gregiore was following up on a promise she made to the 81st BCT, Washington Army National Guard when she sent them off in August. She met with several units from the 81st BCT across Iraq. The governor gave a Washington state flag to every unit she visited.
