Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Jonathan Greenert and Adm. Mark Ferguson III listen as Vice Chief of Naval Operations (VCNO) Adm. Michelle Howard reaffirms her commitment to the Navy and the Sailors and civilians who serve the organization following a change of office ceremony where Howard relieved Ferguson as the 38th VCNO. During the change of office ceremony Greenert presented Ferguson with the Navy Distinguished Service Medal and wished him well in his next assignment as the next Commander, U.S. Naval Forces, Europe/Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Africa, and Commander, Allied Joint Forces Command in Naples, Italy.
