Sergeant Major Wesley L. Schaffer, sergeant major of 1st Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, carries the organizational colors to Lt. Col. Brian J. Von Herbulis, outgoing commanding officer, and Lt. Col. George D. Hasseltine, incoming commanding officer, during a change of command ceremony aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 30, 2014. The change of command ceremony also served as the retirement ceremony for Von Herbulis who retired from the Marine Corps after 18 years of service as an officer of Marines.
