Capt. Michael McClure, a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., presents the Iraqi national flag to a representative from the 4th Battalion, 36th Iraqi Army Brigade, at Joint Security Station Sheik Amir, northwest of Baghdad, Dec. 31, 2008. The security agreement between coalition forces and the Iraqi government took effect Jan. 1, which gave the Iraqi security forces control of the JSS. All combat operations are now joint operations between U.S. Forces and their Iraqi army counterparts. Capt. McClure is the Commander of Troop A "Ace High," 2nd Squadron 14th Cavalry Regiment, "Strykehorse," 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team "Warrior," 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad.
