U.S. Sailors commit ashes into the sea June 22, 2014, during a burial at sea ceremony for 22 veterans and family members aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) in the Pacific Ocean. The Peleliu was to participate in the Rim of the Pacific 2014 exercise, a U.S. Pacific Command-hosted biennial multinational maritime exercise designed to foster and sustain international cooperation on the security of the world's oceans.
