Iraqi school children line a road in As Samawah for the arrival of Japanese Senior Vice Foreign Minister Seiko Hashimoto. She is in town for the opening of a new power plant. This 60 megawatt power station was sponsored by the Japanese Provincial Reconstruction Team of Muthanna province and will provide much needed electricity to southern Iraq.
