A Republic of Korea Marine, right, is instructed by U.S. Marine Cpl. John L. Salter June 7 at the 1st ROK Marine Division base in Pohang, South Korea. The Marines executed weapons familiarization training in preparation for Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-8, which is slated to take place June 9-21. KMEP is a regularly-scheduled, combined, small-unit training exercise, which enhances the combat readiness and interoperability of ROK-U.S. Marine Corps forces.
