Petty Officer 1st Class Dillon Skidmore, Special Mission Training Center at Camp Lejeune, demonstrates pursuit tactics on a Grenadian 33-foot Interceptor Response boat during boat operations training at Tradewinds 2014, here on June 5. Grenada was one of the countries that received their boat as part of the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative “Secure Seas” program, a major Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) effort to provide security assistance to Caribbean Basin partner nations. The boat training takes place during Tradewinds 2014. Tradewinds is a joint, combined exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
