Two U.S. Army soldiers in ACU (Army Combat Uniform) camouflage are engaged in a candle-lighting ceremony. The soldier facing the camera, identified by his name tape as 'NICHOLAS,' is holding a decorative plate with lit candles while another soldier lights or receives a candle. The setting and ritual suggest a religious or memorial observance.

Maj. William "Chip" Nicholas, 3rd BCT's chaplain, who hails from Orlando, Fla., the chaplain for 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, lights a Soldier's candle at a new chapel on Forward Operating Base War Eagle on Dec. 24. After nearly seven months of holding religious services in conference rooms, the Strikers of 3rd BCT, 4th Inf. Div., christened their new chapel with a Christmas Eve candlelight service.
