The Marines and sailors with Theater Security Cooperation Team 5, Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa 14.1, from 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, were in Nigeria from April 16 to May 8, 2014 training members of the Nigerian Army on combat life saving techniques, maritime security patrolling, beach landings and extractions, basic ground patrolling, land navigation and mission planning.
