Spc. Christopher Halski stands tall as Lt. Col. Gregory Baine presents him with an Army Commendation Medal during an award ceremony, Dec. 10. During his deployment, Halski earned two Purple Heart Medals, two ARCOMs, an Iraqi Campaign Medal, and a Combat Infantryman Badge. He is a native of Omaha, Neb., and serves as an infantryman with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad. Baine, a native of Beaumont, Texas, is the battalion commander for 2nd Bn., 30th Inf. Regt.
