Airmen from the 127th Civil Engineer Squadron board a C-130 Hercules aircraft at Coleman A. Young Airport in Detroit, May 18, 2014. While the taxiways at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mich., are undergoing routine maintenance, the Michigan Air National Guard was able to utilize the nearby airport in Detroit, popularly known as City Airport - as the 127th CES Airmen were traveling to Maine for a training deployment. The availability of the Detroit airport to use as an alternate site provides significant flexibility to the Michigan Air National Guard. Other Michigan ANG aircraft have been operating from Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus, Mich., during the taxiway work at Selfridge. The C-130 is operated by the 182nd Airlift Wing, Illinois National Guard. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Tech. Sgt. Dan Heaton/Released)
