During the ship's homeport change from Norfolk, VA, Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing 17 conducted humanitarian and disaster relief operations in Haiti during Operation Unified Response and held partnership exercises with seven Latin American countries as part of Southern Seas 2010.
