Mike Cubillos, officer in charge, Unit Training, Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, blows on an ember he created using the bow drill method during the survival class portion of the Red Hat Refresher Course, May 5, 2014. The ember was placed inside a pile of tinder he collected from the surrounding woods to eventually spark a fire.
