More than 100 gift bags filled with goodies, treats and Christmas cards were collected at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3750 in Luling, La., Nov. 15, to send to Soldiers of the Louisiana Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 244th Aviation Regiment who are currently serving in Balad, Iraq. The unit departed in April and is scheduled to return in early 2009.
