A military briefing or meeting is taking place in what appears to be a lounge or common room aboard a naval vessel or installation. A senior Navy personnel member in Navy Working Uniform (NWU) digital camouflage is standing and addressing a small group of seated and standing individuals, some in uniform and some in civilian attire. The setting suggests an informal but official gathering such as a command briefing or visitor orientation.

Rear Adm. Victor G. Guillory, commander, U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command (COMUSNAVSO) and U.S. Fourth Fleet (C4F) speaks with members of USNS Big Horn's (T-AO 198) wardroom about their contribution to the mission, and thanks them for their hard work and assistance. Big Horn made a brief stop in Mayport to refuel and on load food, water and supplies before getting underway to Haiti in support of Operation Unified Response. As the Navy component command of U.S. Southern Command, NAVSO's mission is to direct U.S. Naval forces operating in the Caribbean, Central and South American regions and interact with partner nation navies within the maritime environment. In support of Operation Unified Response, C4F is tasked to coordinate the U.S. Navy's response to disaster relief in Haiti following a 7.0 magnitude earthquake Jan. 12. The focus of Operation Unified Response is to alleviate the suffering of survivors and support humanitarian relief efforts. (U.S. Navy Photo by Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class (SW) Robert A.
