Dozens of journalists from El Salvador lined up after the FA-HUM humanitarian and disaster relief exercise opening ceremony May 5 to talk to leaders from El Salvador and the U.S. FA-HUM is a regionally-oriented foreign humanitarian assistance and disaster relief command post and field training exercise that's designed to build partner nation capacity to respond to a major disaster. The U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and Army South-executed two weeklong event also strengthens military and security force collaboration and hemispheric cooperation involving regional military and civilian agencies.
